Delete your whole account

You can do this yourself, at any time, and you do not need the app installed:

1. Go to your account page and sign in.
2. Scroll to Delete Account.
3. Press Delete My Account and confirm with your password.

The same option is in the mobile app under Account. Deletion happens immediately when you confirm — there is no waiting period and no way to undo it.

Delete some of your data, but keep your account

Individual rounds, squads, practices, courses, competitions, posts, comments and photos can each be deleted from within the app or the website, without closing your account.

If you would rather we did it for you, or want something removed that you cannot reach yourself, email [email protected] from the address on your account and tell us what to remove.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• Your profile, name, email address and password
• Every score, round and target you have recorded, including shot placement
• Your squads, events, participations and seasons
• Your practices and performance history
• Your courses, shared stations, course reviews and reports
• Your posts, comments, likes and check-ins
• Everyone you follow, and everyone following you
• Your competition checklists
• Any coach profile and coach-student links

What is kept, and why

• Competitions you created stay on the site as public shoot listings, because other shooters may have entered them or attached their own scores. They are no longer linked to you or your name.
• Shotgun and cartridge entries you added stay in the shared equipment catalogue, no longer linked to you. They contain no personal information.

If you want a competition you created removed as well, email us and we will take it down where no other shooter's results depend on it.

This also deletes your ShotgunWeb account. Clays Buddy and ShotgunWeb share one login, so deleting here removes both. Your ShotgunWeb reviews, location and dealership claims, submissions, and any dealer or manager listing go with it, and none of it can be recovered. If you want to keep your Clays Buddy account and remove only your ShotgunWeb data, use Delete Account in your ShotgunWeb account settings instead — deleting here does not offer that choice.

Take a copy first, if you want one

Deletion cannot be reversed. If you want to keep your shooting history, use Download My Data on your account page before deleting. It covers your profile, scores and targets, competitions, events, practices, participations, seasons, coach and student records, who you follow, and your consent history. It does not cover your posts, comments, check-ins, squads, courses and reviews, or anything on the ShotgunWeb side — email us before deleting if you want a copy of those.

Subscriptions

If you subscribe to Gold, cancel it through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account. Deleting the account does not cancel a store subscription, because those are billed by Apple and Google rather than by us.

You should also unsubscribe from our emails using the link at the bottom of any Clays Buddy email.
