Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Data deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account page, or from the Clays Buddy mobile app. Deleting from the web does not require the app to be installed, and this page explains exactly what is removed and what is kept. You may also request deletion of some or all data by contacting us through email.

Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Understand and save a user's preferences for future visits.
  • Compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interactions in order to offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may also use trusted third party services, such as Google Analytics, that track this information on our behalf.

If you disable cookies, some features will be disabled but it won't prevent you from using the site.

Third party disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety. Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Third party links

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Google AdSense

We have enabled Google AdSense on the Shotgun Web site. Google's advertising requirements can be summed up by the Google Advertising Policies. They are put in place to provide a positive experience for users.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA (hereinafter "reCAPTCHA") on our websites. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

  • reCAPTCHA is used to check whether the data entered on our website (such as on a registration form) has been entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website, or mouse movements made by the user).
  • The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to Google.
  • The reCAPTCHA analysis takes place completely in the background. Website visitors are not advised that such an analysis is taking place.
  • The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its site from abusive automated crawling and spam.
  • For more information about Google reCAPTCHA and Google's privacy policy, please visit the following link: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

California Online Privacy Protection Act

According to CalOPPA we agree to the following:

  • Users can visit our site anonymously
  • Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page, or as a minimum on the first significant page after entering our website.
  • Our Privacy Policy link includes the word 'Privacy', and can be easily be found on the page specified above.
  • Users will be notified of any privacy policy changes on our Privacy Policy page
  • Users are able to change their personal information by logging in to their account

Do not track signals

We honor do not track signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.

In-app analytics

The ClaysBuddy mobile app uses Google Firebase Analytics, acting as our processor, to understand how the app is used — app opens, screens viewed, and feature usage such as creating a squad or completing a round. This is first-party product analytics: it is associated with a pseudonymous app identifier and, for signed-in users, your account's internal ID; it does not use the device advertising ID and is not used for advertising or shared for third parties' own purposes. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' retention settings and is not linked back to your name or email in our analytics tools.

Third party behavioral tracking

The ClaysBuddy mobile app does not serve third-party ads and we do not allow third party behavioral tracking in the app. Advertising on the Shotgun Web site is covered by the Google AdSense section above.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

We do not specifically market to children under 13.

Fair information practices

In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur:

  • We will notify the users via email within 1 business day
  • We will notify the users via in site notification within 72 hours

We also agree to the individual redress principle, which requires that individuals have a right to pursue legally enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or a government agency to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.
